I am sure it doesn’t come as any surprise that we have a new pet and has time goes our zoo will keep on growing as both of us are only to keen to help any animal in distress.
Our new addition is a baby leopard tortoise that we found in the nature reserve being eaten alive by a swarm of ants. As we weren’t making a documentary on ants or cared too much about the ants survival – we rescued the little guy that measures only about 5cm.
We have nicknamed “Charles” after our good Botswana friend, who tends to work on Bots time.
We have come to realize that a tortoise doesn’t actually make for an exciting pet, and after expectations of it chasing Emily (our dog) around the garden and jumping into the car for a ride – we find it spends 98% of its life sleeping.
