New High

100_3221Here is a picture of our thermometer, that was recorded on Christmas day, not much chance of a “white Christmas” in Letlhakane this year. 58.3C or 137F

We did avoid it by spending the day and Christmas night at a friends bush camp near the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans – see

A white hot Christmas! Holy mackerel!! And we complain about 30C! Mind you, it is very humid here, which makes it exhausting. What are you guys up to for New Years? We are 5.5hrs off midnight, with 30ish drunk 20 year olds, getting drunker by the minute – we are staying at home to guard the house & try and control bad behaviour. We’ve already had to tell them to stop yelling fuck, as there are little kids next door. It will be a very long night!!!! Hope we survive Love B xx

7 degrees F (-14C) on my way to work this morning. Not sure what is better !! Figure seeing as you both are close to or already in 2014, I can be too, and go to sleep early !
