I have updated our Letlhakane weather page to include October. During the month we did get our first rains – only 3mm, but it was a start.
Temperatures are starting to get up into the 4o’s and we had a max temperature of 44.4 C. The early morning “ice age” temps seem to be a thing of the past and in October our average minimum was a comfortable 17.5 C.
November tends to be the hottest month of the year here, so we have something to look forward to.
Yesterday the weather was very strange, the wind blew strongly the whole morning and we were hit by numerous sand storms – our house was just covered in dust (see pic below). But the wind did keep things cool – well relatively so anyway.
In the afternoon the wind dropped and it was overcast. This morning we saw lightening way in the distance to our west. Hopefully the dry areas around Mopipi are getting rain.
