Trees have many functions that are vital to our very existence, however many people take them for granted. Trees provide us with food, medicines, timber for the manufacturing of goods, shade, nesting sites for birds, and not forgetting the production of oxygen that we cannot do without.
With the ever growing world population and the demand for land there has been a dramatic decrease in trees worldwide. Here at The Plot, Sue makes me plant a tree for everyone I take out for our development.
I have listed some of the trees we have on The Plot, either naturally occurring or that we have planted, giving uses and some cultural background to it.
